SPDC is currently hiring for two roles:

1. Principal Materials and Corrosion Engineer

Job Type: Full Time

Required Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper materials and corrosion management during the design and construction of offshore projects.
  • Manage materials selection, corrosion strategies, and inspection plans for projects.
  • Lead the testing and implementation of innovative materials and corrosion technologies.
  • Address technical queries and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced staff.
  • Collaborate with global teams to apply the latest tools and strategies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering, preferably Materials or Metallurgy, with at least 12 years of experience in exploration and production projects.
  • Strong knowledge of shallow water and pipeline systems design.
  • Experience with Nigerian Welding Society and local material testing is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • COREN registration is preferred.

2. Senior Process Engineer

Job Type: Full Time

Required Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide process engineering expertise for projects, ensuring technical integrity and safety.
  • Support the project team in technical reviews and cost-saving measures.
  • Develop operating envelopes and data quality improvement plans.
  • Drive compliance with standards and manage risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with various teams to optimize oil and gas facilities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience in process engineering.
  • Skilled in simulation tools like UNISIM, PIPESIM, and others.
  • Experience in both upstream and downstream oil and gas projects.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and risk management skills.
  • Familiarity with Shell’s ORS and modification processes is an advantage.
